Borchert Map Library: The Borchert Map Library at the University of Minnesota has a wide array of useful map resources. 

Re-imaging Joseph N. Nicollet's Mapmaking Expeditions: A project that explores changes in the landscape of southern Minnesota over the past 150 years.

Minnesota River Basin Interactive Map: Provides 360 degree panoramic views, historical aerial photo animations of sites in the Minnesota River Basin and Google Earth Flyovers of stretches of the Minnesota River. 

Historic Aerial Photographs Online: Allows you to create customized maps based on DNR data layers that you select. Choose from public lands, water bodies, roads, aerial photos, and more.

David Rumsey Collection: The David Rumsey map database has over 44,000 maps and images online. The collection focuses on rare 18th and 19th century North American and South American maps and other cartographic materials. 

GLO Historic Plat Maps: A digital collection of the state’s original plat maps drawn by the U.S. Surveyor General’s Office.
