The Oliver Kelley Farm is an historic site operated by the Minnesota Historical Society. It is open during the warmer months in Minnesota, from May to October. Visitors to the site can tour the historic farm house where Kelley and his family lived. From 1868 to 1870 the house served as headquarters for the Patrons of Husbandry, the farmers organization founded by Kelley. The Kelley Farm is a working farm which allows visitors to encounter animals, crops, and farming methods used in the 1860s. The Oliver Kelley Farm became a National Historic Landmark in 1964.
The Minnesota Historical Society has 26 historic sites and museums. These locations feature different types of programs and cover a wide variety of topics--from farming and fashion to ancient rock carvings and historic battles.
