Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) individuals and communities have a rich past and vibrant present here in the state of Minnesota. Using our collections you can get a sense of the history of social, cultural, and political life of the LGBTQ community in Minnesota, whether it's researching marriage equality, political activists such as Leo Treadway, or performance art at the Coffeehouse Collective.

Materials from 1970 forward are both more abundant and easier to find due to the increased mainstream visibility.
