Sample Artifacts at MNHS

Menorah made in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The menorah, one of the oldest symbols in Judaism, holds seven candles symbolizing seven days of creation. The temple menorah is different from a Hanukkah menorah or chanukiah, which has nine branches. This gold painted iron alloy candelabra features cut and soldered foliage decoration on the curved arms and each candle holder has a folded, petal-like decoration. Ivory silk satin dress worn by Ruth Meyers (Mrs. Leonard H. Heller) at her wedding.
