  • July 20, 1907: Strike begins
  • August 10, 1907: 19 miners accused of rioting are imprisoned for one month. 
  • June 3, 1916: Strike begins. 
  • June 22, 1916: Miner John Alar killed during clash with mining company guards in Virginia.  
  • June 16, 1916: Over 4,000 miners gather for Alar funeral procession.
  • July 3, 1916: Deputy Sheriff John Myron and Tomi Ladvalla are shot and killed in clash with strikers in Biwabik.  
  • July 11, 1916: IWW organizer Elizabeth Gurley Flynn arrives in Minnesota.  
  • August 7, 1916: Sympathy strike begins on Cuyuna Range.  
  • August 25, 1916: Workers from Section 30 mine (Vermilion Range) strike.  
  • September 17, 1916: Strike ends.
  • December 15, 1916: IWW organizers jailed for killing Myron are released.
